A Few Reminders/Africa Team Update

A quick reminder of a few things, including a great new ministry that is open to our church family launching this Wednesday: Celebrate Recovery. Check out this video for more information: Celebrate Recovery Video

Join us Wednesday Night, be a part of some of the great opportunities listed below, and enjoy chili for supper from 5:30 - 6:30.
  • LOVE IN ACTION 365 - Drop in Wednesdays from 5-7 and be part of putting God's love in action.
Deliver a meal, write a card, make a phone call, go on a visit, lift up a prayer, make a card, or assemble packets. There is a place for everyone to serve, even if you just have a few minutes before or after dinner.
  • CELEBRATE RECOVERY LAUNCHING THIS WEDNESDAY, 6PM, ROOM 224: Often when people think of recovery they automatically think alcohol or drug related, however Celebrate Recovery also deals with many hurts, habits, and hang-ups to name a few: depression, anger, co-dependency, fear, broken relationships, need to control, low self-esteem, grief, abuse, perfectionism, and the list goes on. For more info, contact Gen Bingham (371-2131).
  • WHAT EVERY CHRISTIAN OUGHT TO KNOW: Wednesdays, 6:30pm, with Steve Waldroop and Pastor David. New classroom location is above the church office (follow stairwell next to the church office up).
  • ADULT BIBLE STUDY: with Robbie Robison, 7pm, room 119
  • SMPCC BABY BOTTLES DUE:  Fill them with your donations of coins/bills/checks (payable to SMPCC) and drop them off at the Love-In-Action Welcome Center just outside the office in the rear of the Children's Wing from 5-7 pm.
  • Children’s Choir (ages 4-4th grade) 6:15pm
  • Student Worship, Fusion 5/6 - 6:30pm in the Crossover Worship Area
  • Mission FriendsGA’s, RA’s, Adult Choir 7pm

The Africa team is doing great! Yesterday they baptized over 100 people! That makes at least a hundred and fifty for the whole trip! In addition to that, they had over a hundred people respond to the invitation they gave in the village last night! The medical team has served hundreds of people that for the first time heard stories from the Bible and of the great love of Christ!  Great things are happening! Continue to Pray!

See you tomorrow!

Pastor Jason
