Love and Logic Parenting Online™ - Sign-up by Tuesday, April 21

Hi Church,
My family along with many others in our church and community were excited to start  Parenting the Love and Logic Way® a few weeks back and due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the class was unable to take place. I am excited for another opportunity to partner with other participants in journeying through this together online. This will be a great opportunity for parents, grandparents, guardians, educators, those that serve in children’s ministry, and anyone that works with children.
See the information below, with instructions on registering for the FREE online course and information on how to get connected to the discussion group that will take place on Thursday Evenings at 7pm. Feel free to invite those you know that might be interested in this special limited time opportunity. Sign-up by Tuesday evening (see details below in an email from Bruce and Carla) to be part of this special time. Hope to see you online.
Pastor Jason
Love and Logic Parenting Online™ is now free!  Check out the link for details.
Therefore, consider the following.
  1. Carla & Bruce Ferguson will host a weekly, one-hour discussion with those participating in Love and Logic Parenting Online™.  Zoom meetings will be held at 7:00 PM each Thursday evening beginning April 23rd for seven weeks (ending June 4th).
  2. Interested parents will individually sign up for Love and Logic Parenting Online™ and let us know.  Carla will invite each Zoom participant each week based on those viewing the online materials
  3. April 23rd will be Zero Week as we get acquainted.  Before the April 30th Zoom meeting, each participant will be expected to have viewed the first session of Love and Logic Parenting Online™.  Each week thereafter, each Zoom participant will be expected to view the Session to be discussed.
  4. All communication will be electronic (email, text, and Zoom).  Although face-to-face meetings are best, we believe this to be a good alternative.  It may take a little effort to get up to speed, but Carla and I are willing to assist with Zoom and the downloads.
Please let Bruce know by Tuesday evening (Apr 21) by email (b2f@msn.com) if you are interested in participating in Love and Logic Parenting Online™ and the weekly discussion group.
In the meantime, the check out the 15-minute Love and Logic® video by Dr. Charles Fay Dealing with Disrespect & Defiance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMOsBgUZYpQ&feature=emb_rel_pause
I think you will find it interesting.
I look forward to your joining us for Love and Logic Parenting Online™
Have a good weekend.

Volunteer Opportunity and Easter Worship Opportunities Start Today

Hey Church!

Keep praying for Sunday and inviting people to join us at 10am for a Community Drive In Church. We pray many will be with us to hear of the hope we have in Christ!

Some have asked how you can help?

Praying and inviting is huge, but we also need some folks to serve on a parking and greeting team the day of the event. Mike Cochran is heading up this team and you can text or call him to be a part. Mike’s number is 828-421-0999.

We have some great ways to celebrate the resurrection starting today.

Tonight we will be streaming a replay of last year's “Living Last Supper” featuring Choir and Cast at 6pm on Facebook, the Cowee Website, and Youtube. This will be available to watch later on demand as well.

Below is a full list of opportunities to celebrate the resurrection together this weekend. These videos will be available to watch on Facebook, our Youtube Channel and through the http://coweebaptist.org/connect/ page.

  • Thursday (Today) 6pm- ReStream of “The Living Last Supper.”
  • Friday 3pm - Good Friday Message from Pastor Chris
  • Saturday 10am - ReStream of “The Day He Wore My Crown”.
  • Sunday 10am - Community Drive-In Easter Worship Experience at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts Parking Lot
  • Sunday 6pm - Kingdom Kids Connect Easter Message

Though our gathering as a church is happening via technology and in creative ways through drive-in church, our hope as a church is still the same…to worship Jesus. Let’s sing together, pray together, and listen to God’s word together. We may be in different living rooms or cars this weekend, but we are still ONE church, worshiping ONE God. Doing it ALL together.

Love you all,

Pastor Jason

Community Revival and Bonfire School Release - Could you announce this Sunday?

Good morning!

In Just a little over a week, Franklin NC and the local churches will have the opportunity to be part of one of the largest Evangelistic Events in this area- Bonfire School Release.

Two years ago this event took place and we saw over 150 decisions for Christ, over a dozen churches from multiple denominations unite, and the Gospel proclaimed to a community!

Would you consider a few things at your church?

Community Revival Worship services will take place Sunday Night (March 24) - Wednesday Night (March 27) at 6:30pm. Would you consider moving your church services and joining as ONE CHURCH at the SMCPA? There were multiple decisions for Christ made by adults and students in the evening services two years ago. Take a moment and watch this highlight clip from the 2017 School Release here in Franklin. https://vimeo.com/210791794

Here is a video that could be shared in church services: https://www.dropbox.com/s/of2e03fwnidrce3/1%20Bonfire%202019.m4v?dl=0

Will you announce to your parents  and students? Those at MVI, MACON MIDDLE, FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL, MEC, AND UNION ACADEMY are included in this release and will be bussed to the SMCPA. Home School and private school students are welcome as well, but will provide their own transporation.
The daytime school release will take place March 25-27th and we will pick students up from school and bus them to the SMCPA for a worship service where the Gospel will be shared LEGALLY! The supreme court has ruled that a parent has the legal right to remove their child from school for the purpose of religious instruction and that the absences are EXCUSED! Here is a short video with more information: https://vimeo.com/324599996

Permission slips and information available at schoolrelease.com.

Would you take a moment and spend time praying for God to move in our schools and community these next two Sundays during your worship services and share on your prayer lists and established prayer chains.

Please be in prayer for:
1) the students
2) over 120 volunteers, from multiple churches
3) the Bonfire ministry team
4) lives to be changed
5) revival

We talk often about how much America needs REVIVAL.
Could this be the time the church leads the way?

Thank you for praying and for being part of Bonfire School Release and Community Revival 2019.

In Christ,

Jason
