We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God's ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! Beginning Wednesday, August 31, classes will meet for an hour and a half each week for nine weeks. The cost is $99.00 / couple for a membership kit, with lots of useful tools. (The price may decrease as the number of signups increase with a group pricing.) Limited financial scholarships are available to help offset cost, as needed. Ed and Shelly Rewis will facilitate this class. Respond to this email or contact the church office to sign up or for more information.

Presale tickets available for the Marriage Tune Up Conference that will be coming to Franklin sponsored by Heart for Families at a discounted rate of $20/person for this week only.  Limited tickets available FREE for Law Enforcement and Full-Time First Responders. Contact Pastor Jason to sign up or for more information.

"the word of God kept on spreading"

What a great time of worship. as we spent our last Sunday together with the Powell family, and David, as our Senior Pastor. It is hard to think that this season has come to a close, but I am reminded that with the close of each season comes the beginning of another.

The words “in transition,” have been used a great deal to talk about this time we are walking through. We are in transition, but greater than that, we are “In Christ!” In the book of Acts, we see a number of transition moments for the early church, and in these moments there is a similar phrase that is repeated: “the word of God kept on spreading.” As the gospel spread from Jerusalem, to Judea, and to Samaria, the church experienced changes in leadership, but the word of God was being proclaimed, the number of disciples were growing, and God was glorified.

Church, I challenge you to be more dependent on the Lord than ever before. Pray for unity, courage, and a boldness for the people of Cowee as we embrace this new season, and for “the word of God to keep on spreading!”

See you Sunday, and bring somebody with you, as we move forward In CHRIST.

Check out some great opportunities this week.
