"the word of God kept on spreading"

What a great time of worship. as we spent our last Sunday together with the Powell family, and David, as our Senior Pastor. It is hard to think that this season has come to a close, but I am reminded that with the close of each season comes the beginning of another.

The words “in transition,” have been used a great deal to talk about this time we are walking through. We are in transition, but greater than that, we are “In Christ!” In the book of Acts, we see a number of transition moments for the early church, and in these moments there is a similar phrase that is repeated: “the word of God kept on spreading.” As the gospel spread from Jerusalem, to Judea, and to Samaria, the church experienced changes in leadership, but the word of God was being proclaimed, the number of disciples were growing, and God was glorified.

Church, I challenge you to be more dependent on the Lord than ever before. Pray for unity, courage, and a boldness for the people of Cowee as we embrace this new season, and for “the word of God to keep on spreading!”

See you Sunday, and bring somebody with you, as we move forward In CHRIST.

Check out some great opportunities this week.
